My Big Review!

Ok, wrapping presents with the wife in front of the pellet stove today. Nothing says Christmas like a nice warm cup of coffee in front of the fire place. If anyone knows me, than they’ll tell you that I just can’t drink coffee with caffeine or soda past 4:00 PM. It really doesn’t agree with me and I can’t fall asleep before midnight if I do. So, I decided to try My favorite Dunkin Donuts coffee in the K Cup with no caffeine.

I took a break from the wrapping and fire up the Keurig machine. I made absolutely sure that I grabbed the right one (I’ve completely stopped buying any other brand for myself) and popped it in. The gentle familiar whine of the coffee getting ready to brew sounded off. What a delightful sound it is!

The first thing that I noticed was a little loss of flavor. I guess drinking it black really let’s you know what the true flavor of the coffee is. Don’t get me wrong, it was still a great coffee. I notice the flavor difference in practically every brand regardless if it comes in the K Cup or not. It’s must me some common trait when they take the caffeine out or something?

Anyway, even though I’m not a huge fan of decaf coffee, it was a pretty good cup, better than the pound packages of Dunkin Donuts decaf that we get at the store.

We had a great time and eventually finished with all of the gifts in front of the gentle flicker of the pellet stove. I have to say that this season is going to be great. We’ve got the tree all decorated and things are moving along pretty well. I think that getting a lot of the shopping and still hitting some of the black Friday sales was a large benefit to us.
