My Dunkin Dark Review!
We all know that I drink my coffee black. I LOVE deep, dark roasted coffees more than any other type of niche type flavored stuff. I have to say that my experience with dunkin dark K Cups has been one of the best of all coffees I have ever tried. Let’s begin....
I woke up with a little more of the ol’ cobwebs than usual today. I think I stayed up just a bit too late watching the Biggest Looser. I guess it’s a perfect morning for a little bit of the Dunkin Dark. I fired up the Keurig brewer and grabbed a K Cup from the cabinet.
I have to say, the first thing you’re going to notice with these things is the deep, strong aroma when the coffee is being brewed. I had my back turned to the brewer and was cleaning the kitchen up a bit and I have to say, I could smell it instantly even with a pretty bad cold. As a matter of fact, I think that K Cup Coffee was the only thing I smelled all day.
Secondly, that coffee comes out strong. The steady stream leaving the Keurig never looses any color like a lot of the other coffees do. My first cup was simply amazing. I have to say that Dunkin Donuts definitely got it right with this flavor. If there ever was someone who likes dark roasted straight black coffee it’s probably me.
If you do want to tone it down a little and save some cash, you could probably get away with a second blast (maybe a half a cup) from the same K Cup, which is what I do quite frequently just to top the cup off. I didn’t notice much of a flavor reduction when doing so.
I have to say that about 90% of the K Cup flavors that I typically enjoy are bold or extra bold. Dunkin puts out a great dark coffee just as you would expect from this leader in coffees. If someone puts out a bad review over this stuff they’ve probably just loaded up their java with so much sugar and creamer that they’ve destroyed the original flavoring of the coffee.
